Over the weekend we watched as some of our younger athletes competed in the Victorian All Schools comps. What a successful weekend it was for all our athletes who competed with many medals to show for, as well as some club records and even an equal second in the 100m. A solid outing by all athletes that competed and although you may have been representing your school, deep down you were representing Sandy. 20 teams entered with over 1/3 teams taking home medals in a record breaking day –

Open woman of Sandringham who took out Victorian open champs today as fastest woman in the Open medley breaking a club record originally set with Tamsyn in the original team running the 800m leg  back in 2004. Also took out fastest 4 x 100 and easily won 4 x 400 taking them to Zatopek finals next week. Unfortunately Rosie won’t be running at the relays next week as it is her wedding day but will be replaced by Emma Knight who had her wedding today!

Gold in open 4 x 100 woman Tamsyn Lewis Manou, Lizzie Dingeldei (running up from U20), Tierra Exum and Ashleigh Whittaker 47.51

4 x 400 Open woman Tamsyn Lewis Manou, Adelaide Robertson, Rosie Kelly, Lizzie Dingeldei 3.50.21

Gold in U16 4 x 100m 48.88 equalling the Victorian State Record Khoeby Holohan, Emily Wallace, Ines Vandame and U14 Mietta Russell U16,17,18,19,20 club record

Bronze U17 4 x 100 Aaron Leferink (U16), Harry Kimpton Moss, Jamie Philander and Tom Tanojevic 43.34 breaking a 25 year club record
