Over the weekend we watched as some of our younger athletes competed in the Victorian All Schools comps. What a successful weekend it was for all our athletes who competed with many medals to show for, as well as some club records and even an equal second in the 100m. A solid outing by all athletes that competed and although you may have been representing your school, deep down you were representing Sandy. Hi all

As some of you will know our very own Harry Kimpton Moss competed in the 2015 Australian commonwealth youth games in Samoa week 5 – 11 of September  as one of 84 athletes selected.

Harry ran tremendously and was successful in securing a bronze medal in the 400m Hurdles.

Special thanks must go to Roy, Lisa & the whole team at SAC who have supported & mentored him along the way.

Congratulations Harry we are all very proud of your efforts and what a great achievement.
Sandringham committee

Winter 2015

On Saturday, 11th July, Sandringham had its first WIN for winter for many years at Sandown Road Relays when our U16 Women;s team of Annabelle Eastman, Alice Oakley Kerr and Meg Oakley Kerr all ran under 12 minutes over their legs of 3.1 km each despite the freezing cold and rain to take out 1st place in 34.11, with Annabelle and Meg both just over 11 minutes. This was a truly great effort from them all but especially from 12 year old Alice. We also had an U20 team of Monique Walsh, Clodagh Grogan and U18 Charlotte Simpson..

A big thank you to Ruby Holten and all the parents who helped out on the day; it must have been really cold down on the track, This allowed the acting team manager to stay well rugged up in the shelter of the grandstand with access to hot coffee and Frankston’s usual delicious hot food (always a feature at Sandown relays).

Here’s hoping you all available (together with some additional teams) for the Tan relays on Saturday, 19th Sept. Nicole Jones would love to hear from anyone who is willing to run these.

Annabelle will be representing Victoria at Australian Cross Country Championships at Moonee Valley Racecourse on 29th August and we wish her the well.
